Assassin’s Apprentice book 1 Farseer Trilogy

This is the first book in the farseer trilogy. The books starts off with a young boy who gets dropped off at a castle due to his heritage. He’s a bastard (said in John Snows voice) 😁 a royal bastard.

Fitz they call him is looked after by a farm hand named Burrich who discovers Fitz has magical abilities. They call it the Wit while working with the animals. Where people can talk to animals and can even bond with them for life.

The Farseer Kingdom is constantly under threat or being attacked by raiders. The king uses his abilities to try and stop this from happening but it doesn’t always work.

Fitz finally meets the King who has the ideal job for him. To become an assassin. So Fitz is trained by his Uncle in the dark depths of the castle where nobody can be found. Fitz then goes on missions to try and protect his kingdom sometimes with dire consequences. Even leaving Fitz in a bad way at the end of the book.

I like how this book is read from Fitz point of you kind of like first person. I could not put this book down. Even woke up sometimes with the book on my face 😂

Once you’ve read this book you will more than definitely be reading all the rest of Fitz tales and many adventures.

This book has some violence and some sexual preferences but nothing to graphic. I’d definitely rate this book a 4.95/5. I do really enjoy this book and especially as it’s one of my favourite trilogies.
