How to decide what book to read next?

Now I never used to decide what book I was going to read next, unless I was reading the next book in a series.

I used to just randomly pick a book, read it and hopefully enjoy it ๐Ÿ˜

The past few months I’ve been very fortunate by receiving books to review. Mainly e-books but the odd paperback. I have to read these and post a review before a set date that I’ve discussed with the person/s that sent me the book.

I’m not complaining (far from it) at the moment this just means I can’t read the books Iย really want to read. I will have to start reading more than one book at a time, or read quicker ๐Ÿ˜‚

I’m really appreciative of anyone sending me a book to review.

  1. It can be hard to balance sometimes lol. For me it usually turns out that when I finally get around to a book on my TBR list, I receive a book for arc or beta reading. I’m fully aware it’s a luxury problem :p – and I’m not complaining, but I know what you mean ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Yeah I’m definitely not complaing. I enjoy receiving ARCs as like to think the author’s like my reviews enough to send me one. I will get around to reading my other books but I’m enjoying my collection growing.

      1. I agree as much as I love reading books. I do prefer having a physical copy of the book. I’ve been lucky enough to recieve a few which I’m really happy about. I’m just avoiding Netgalley for the foreseeable future ๐Ÿ˜‚

  2. I read an article awhile ago by a book reviewer. He said he received so many books that he didn’t even read most of the book before writing a review. Which sounds miserable and, as an author, I would feel outraged, so I like that you take the time to read. Perhaps you should never sleep. It’s a huge time waster, haha! Sorry, I have no good suggestions, but I love your reviews!

    1. I’d rather have a big collection of books and take my time reading them. I couldn’t not write a review without reading the book. Thank you I always second guess my reviews as I think they’re rubbish ๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. I’m like that. It’s easier if I’m reading a series of books then I will read the next book ๐Ÿ˜ if I’ve agreed a date with an author/publisher then I would have to read that book first as I’m not the fastest of readers ๐Ÿ˜‚
