Now I never used to decide what book I was going to read next, unless I was reading the next book in a series.
I used to just randomly pick a book, read it and hopefully enjoy it ๐
The past few months I’ve been very fortunate by receiving books to review. Mainly e-books but the odd paperback. I have to read these and post a review before a set date that I’ve discussed with the person/s that sent me the book.
I’m not complaining (far from it) at the moment this just means I can’t read the books Iย really want to read. I will have to start reading more than one book at a time, or read quicker ๐
I’m really appreciative of anyone sending me a book to review.
It can be hard to balance sometimes lol. For me it usually turns out that when I finally get around to a book on my TBR list, I receive a book for arc or beta reading. I’m fully aware it’s a luxury problem :p – and I’m not complaining, but I know what you mean ๐

Yeah I’m definitely not complaing. I enjoy receiving ARCs as like to think the author’s like my reviews enough to send me one. I will get around to reading my other books but I’m enjoying my collection growing.

It is nice when you can see how big your collection is getting ๐ I usually receive eBooks, but I’d like to receive some more physical books eventually.

I agree as much as I love reading books. I do prefer having a physical copy of the book. I’ve been lucky enough to recieve a few which I’m really happy about. I’m just avoiding Netgalley for the foreseeable future ๐

I read an article awhile ago by a book reviewer. He said he received so many books that he didn’t even read most of the book before writing a review. Which sounds miserable and, as an author, I would feel outraged, so I like that you take the time to read. Perhaps you should never sleep. It’s a huge time waster, haha! Sorry, I have no good suggestions, but I love your reviews!

I’d rather have a big collection of books and take my time reading them. I couldn’t not write a review without reading the book. Thank you I always second guess my reviews as I think they’re rubbish ๐

I just read what I want and usually that involves finishing a book and then thinking WTF do I read next.๐
If you want to read your own stuff to then do, don’t set dates for reviews with authors.๐

I’m like that. It’s easier if I’m reading a series of books then I will read the next book ๐ if I’ve agreed a date with an author/publisher then I would have to read that book first as I’m not the fastest of readers ๐

Only date you need to agree with a publisher is for a blog tour date, if you have just received the book then read it whenever. Every blogger out there misses publication dates.๐

Really? I’ve been thinking that I need to read the book before it’s released. I feel like a right plum now ๐

Nope, if anyone tells you that every blogger reads every book before the release date then they are a liar.๐๐

๐คฃ here’s me thinking that everyone read the book before release date ๐ I’m just going to hide for a while ๐ถ

I’ve missed publication dates! I’m currently, I believe a month behind a pub date. Lol. It happens. I see it as..keeping the hype up on a book ๐คฃ๐คฃ

I’m just going to relax now and read. Instead of pressuring myself to read a book

Yeah I kind of backed off Netgalley. I went overboard requesting books ๐

I’ve read and reviewed 72 books from Netgalley since I started it in January. Currently, I have 13 I still need to do feedback on. I understand backing from it lol!! Especially, since for me I seem to get almost all the books I request… does not.. help a t a l l

That’s impressive. I don’t think I would read that much this year ๐คฃ Netgalley is dangerous lol but I still like going on to see what books they have on.
