WOW!! Unbelievable. Amazing. Brilliant. Wonderful. Beautiful. Just a few words to describe not just this book but the whole trilogy has been an undeniably amazing read. I read all three books one after the other. I usually have a break between trilogy books but I couldn’t put these books down. I wanted to know what was happening with some of my now favourite characters. Tei what a really well written character she is (she’s my favourite) if you couldn’t already tell. We started off with Tei from a fragile you woman and ended up with being the most spectacular bad ass mo-fo going.
The world building is some of the best I’ve read. With a little bit of your own imagination you are transformed into a beautiful magical world. That has it’s highs and lows like any good story. I’m usually quite good at where a book is headed but this has lots of surprises, twists and turns which had me up most nights as I had to know what was going to happen.
Anyway suppose I better write my review that’s why you’re all here for (I hope anyway 🤣) The book follows straight off the second book. Like the other books the flow of reading is smooth. There isn’t any bits of the book that drags on and you can get through this rather quickly if you wanted to. I love the idea of the astral plain (what’s that you ask?) well the astral plain is where a person can leave there physical body and float out of yourself. I kind of imagine something like when a spirit leaves the body. Once in the astral plain you can float/fly around as long as its not to far from your actual self. You can talk to other spirits that haven’t crossed over. Tei also sees the spirit guides. (I’m not giving names due to spoilers) Anyway all this may seem a bit confusing. Especially if you havent read the first two books. Heres my reviews for the books.
I honestly don’t think there is much else I can say without dropping any spoilers. Which I’m not willing to do. I have really became a big fan of the books and the author Suzanne Rogerson.
