Tattoo Stories

I’ve got a few tattoos and most of them have a meaning as to why I got them. Except for two of them which I got just because I liked them. I’ve got a full sleeve going onto my chest. The design is Lotus flowers, Koi fish with cherry blossoms and some Chinese writing. It’s quite a family orientated piece.

Why did I design this piece.

I’m a family man and wanted something to indicate me growing as person. That’s why the lotus flowers are at the bottom which produces koi fish then eventually they turn into a dragon once they’ve swam through a golden gate. I’ve got writing on my arm which means family and at the top of my arm next to my arm pit I’ve got determination which is what you need if you want to grow. I’ve cherry blossoms dotted around my arm which represents siblings parents my partner and my children each with a separate colour. I’ve also got a hanya mask on my chest to ward off evil spirits. I will eventually get my dragon done on my back. What’s your stories behind your tattoos?

What is Normal

Normally, I am a quiet person who keeps to myself. After speaking to others about my insecurities and having almost everything I shared exposed to others with evil intentions…I made the wise decision to share MY TRUTH myself. In the past I believed that others would find me “ODD” and JUDGE before taking the time […]

How to get ARCs

I like the idea of receiving an arc then reading and doing a review on it.

I would like to know how you go about getting one. I’m not shy I would ask for one but don’t know who to ask.

Am I jumping the gun a bit? I’ve only started blogging so would anyone take me serious enough to receive an arc and blog about it or should I wait till I’m more established?

Assassin’s Quest book 3 Farseer Trilogy

Fitz is still coming around from his horrendous time in Regals prison after getting tortured.

Fitz now has to begin rehabilitation to remember what it’s like to be humam again after his endeavours. Under the watchful eye of his ever protective guardian Burrich.

The red ship raiders have started to make their mark on the six duchies as Verity isn’t there to stop them. Verity has gone on his own quest looking for help from the elderlings and leaving buckeep defenceless.

Fitz now has to find everyone he ever loved. As Molly, Kettericken and the fool have vanished (wonder where they’ve gone 😂)

Now Fitz has to now get back into fighting shape and go on another quest to save Buckeep and find all his friend. But will he?

Book 3 of the Farseer Trilogy. Is probably the best in this trilogy. I didn’t think the books could get better from the first book. As they just keep getting better and better. Hobb is a fantastic writer and amazes with each book I read.

One of favourite past times is gaming besides reading. I remember just sitting for hours and hours playing games even before the online days. From handhelds to consoles. I think I’ve nearly had every console except for the newer generation of consoles. I currently have a PS4 and enjoy playing on varies games.

I like play and final fantasy games especially ff7 (which is the best game ever) I also enjoyed ff15 and completed it twice putting in nearly 200 hours.

I’m also a cod fanboy and not ashamed to say it. I’m not a big fan of black ops though due to the jumping 40ft in the air and sliding across the floor for miles. To be honest it’s just because I can’t shoot them when there jumping around everywhere as I’m crap 😂.

My favourite console has to be the original PlayStation can’t think of any better. When I thing of gaming thats what I think of so many memories.

Addicted to blogging

I think I’ve slightly became addicted to blogging and the blogging universe 😂. I’m on it quite a few times during the I’ve notiched I’m charging my phone at least 2-3 times a day which is quite lot.

I’m finding myself forever going through peoples blogs and finding some excellent stuff.

I’m also finding out loads and I mean loads of books by authors I’ve never heard of. So I’ve had to actually make a list so I wouldn’t forget them.

I use blogging as an outlet. I’m quite a reserved person so have lots to say but don’t say it. That’s why blogging helps I don’t seem to be frustrated as if there’s something on my mind I write it down.

I also like to comment on other bloggers posts especially when you get interact with other people it’s great.

And lastly I like to post some random things sometimes don’t think that’s going to change for a while anyway 😂

Depression and anxiety

Just a small blog this time. My days this week have been like a rollercoaster. I’m neither up nor down but everything seems to be pissing me off. I’m not usually an angry person I’m quite relaxed and chilled out. I can’t pinpoint why my moods is like this. Hopefully I will snap out of it soon as it’s really annoying me.

Any advice from fellow bloggers that could help.

Assassin’s Apprentice book 1 Farseer Trilogy

This is the first book in the farseer trilogy. The books starts off with a young boy who gets dropped off at a castle due to his heritage. He’s a bastard (said in John Snows voice) 😁 a royal bastard.

Fitz they call him is looked after by a farm hand named Burrich who discovers Fitz has magical abilities. They call it the Wit while working with the animals. Where people can talk to animals and can even bond with them for life.

The Farseer Kingdom is constantly under threat or being attacked by raiders. The king uses his abilities to try and stop this from happening but it doesn’t always work.

Fitz finally meets the King who has the ideal job for him. To become an assassin. So Fitz is trained by his Uncle in the dark depths of the castle where nobody can be found. Fitz then goes on missions to try and protect his kingdom sometimes with dire consequences. Even leaving Fitz in a bad way at the end of the book.

I like how this book is read from Fitz point of you kind of like first person. I could not put this book down. Even woke up sometimes with the book on my face 😂

Once you’ve read this book you will more than definitely be reading all the rest of Fitz tales and many adventures.

This book has some violence and some sexual preferences but nothing to graphic. I’d definitely rate this book a 4.95/5. I do really enjoy this book and especially as it’s one of my favourite trilogies.

Dreaded beard trim blog #3

So the dreaded beard trim. This can be quite daunting and there’s nothing after growing your majestic face rug going to a barber and getting ruined. I’ve been there done it I can’t think of anything worse. I could’ve literally sat in the barber’s chair crying my eyes out after some one thought it would be a good idea to ruin my bears. So some advice I’ve learned the hard way. If you want a beard style find a picture of the one you would like that would fit your face shape and beard growth. Explain to your barber that’s how you would like it and also how long you would like it. Don’t just ask for a little bit off and assume the barber knows what a little bit as your “little bit” might be completely different from their “little bit” so specify and make sure they understand 😁. If it’s the first time you’re getting your beard trimmed ask someone who has a beard for advice on where to go. Even google it as now most places have reviews so you can make your mind up beforehand. If your feeling brave enough you could dare and try it yourself. I’ve done this a few times and yes I’ve ruined my beard then completely shaved it off. But now after doing it a few times I am getting better at it. I have watched numourous videos on YouTube which have helped a lot.

First contact In Her Name series Michael R Hicks #bookbloggerreviews

This is book number 1 in the series but it’s like the star wars trilogy but you don’t need read 4-5-6 before 1-2-3. If you’re interested sci fi books then I can’t recommend this series of books enough. The opening of this book is what pulled me in straight away. Literally a full on action sequence. We are introduced to the Kreelans by the unfortunate accident by the humans who came into alien space. Next thing that happens is quite horrific. As the Kreelans board the human ship they slaughter everyone on board except for one person. They call them the messenger. Who has the delightful message to tell everyone what happend and what’s going to happen. The Kreelans are on their way and plan to destroy anything and anywhere the humans civilised. As Kreelans see every other race as an enemy. Kreelans was to wipe out any other race so they will be the sole race of the universe and make it pure. You cannot put this book down unless someone physically removes it from your hand and hides it so you can get on with those house hold chores that you’ve been avoiding. I would give this book a 10/10 as it was unstoppable read and the series is magnificent.
