The Gemini Experiment

Hello and welcome you all to my stop on the Gemini Experiment blog tour. Arranged by the wonderful Random things tours (Anne)

I’m going to start this off by saying what a read this book is. From start to finish it had me on tender hooks. It had me constantly second guessing but I could never figure this book out. That should be enough for a review right? well that’s me done goodnight haha. I’m only joking I will get on with the review of this amazing book. (i’m a big sci-fi nut)

This book is a Flame tree press ARC just reading the blurb I knew id like this book. Lets talk about one of the main characters. Mr Nolan who has a chronic disease which is killing him slowly. Hes been offered a second chance at life with his family and kids. Tom has been offered a kind of replacement body that is exactly a perfect copy of his own body. Except its robotic with Toms memory’s installed into it.

They have managed to digitized the human brain that they could put it on a hard drive and install it into his new body. Tom would be perfect again. Know life threatening disease and spend the rest of his life with his family.

Obviously something has to happen or it would be boring if it was just plain sailing. So before they put Toms brain into his new body they need to test it. So they find a prisoner who has a life sentence for horrific crimes and cancer which is killing him in a painful way (shame right?) he agrees to this and now becomes the first person to have his brain digitized and put in Toms body as a beta testing. Only thing is this is a bad man with bad intentions. He manages to escape and go on a spree degrading Toms name and making him one of the most wanted men in America.

So poor Tom is left the the lurch and a mad man is murdering and robbing on his trail of destruction. Now this where it gets interesting. The Russians have been hiding in the background and want this technology for themselves so they can build armies. Also a president of the United states plays a cameo role in this book.

If you’re into your science fiction reads then you wont be disappointed. Even if this isn’t your typical genre give it ago anyway. I will guarantee you will really enjoy this book.

Brian Pinkerton has done really well in writing this book. From the highs to the lows to keeping you on your toes. You wont be able to put this book down. I will look forward to reading more books by Brian Pinkerton hopefully on a future blog tour. There is some information at the bottom please give it a read and thank you if you’ve made it this far.

This isn’t my usual book review. I was talking to Beffy @BeffyParkin who is the author of this book. She sent me the book asked me to review it. Which I’m glad she did. I’ve read it multiple times already.

It is a children’s book but I really enjoyed it aswell as my 4-year-old daughter who can’t get enough of it.

I cannot recommend this book enough. Your children will really enjoy it. My 4-year-old is constantly reading it. (I need a hard copy as she always has my phone) it’s a great book for children to start reading with³ and the rhyming in the book works really well and makes reading that bit more fun.

So please go and check it out you won’t be disappointed.

Thread Of Hope

Honesty is the best policy. Isn’t it?
What if your secrets are so dangerous they could destroy the one you love?

Prospero is prepared to tell Leonie most of his past – if he can find her – but one of his secrets could send her running again. Another could destroy any future they might have. And one could kill her. Dare he risk it?

Leonie is terrified of the consequences of sharing any of her past with anyone. But not even Leonie knows the secrets that her very existence contains.

Gabriel is starting to discover the secrets inherent in Leonie and they could tear the world apart. Who does he turn to, and who should he share them with? If he tells the wrong person he could seal not just Leonie’s death warrant but those of millions more.

And no one has told Leonie the mystery of her necklace. When she discovers that, will she sacrifice everything and risk all that Gabriel has been working for?

Author Bio
Rachel J Bonner is the author of the four book Choices and Consequences series, the first of which, Strand of Faith, is due out in November 2018.
Getting a degree in engineering, followed by a career in accountancy is probably not a conventional path to becoming an author, particularly in paranormal romance. Rachel says that, although accountancy isn’t anything like as boring as everyone thinks, writing is a lot more fun. When not writing, she can be found walking in the beautiful countryside near where she lives, which has influenced much of the scenery in her books, or shooting things with her local archery club. Target shooting only, honest. Nothing to worry about.
She also enjoys swimming, eating chocolate chip cookies and growing aromatic herbs, especially thyme and rosemary. It’s no coincidence that her heroine likes the same things.

Cannot think of a title for this.

Lately I’ve been seeing my depression as a part of me. I’ve been selfless enough in thinking that it wasn’t actually apart of. I always thought of it as some ‘thing’ as I always thought I could never control it. Which in actual fact you can’t. I’m learning now to do deal with a lot better than I ever have. Yes I am on medication for it. Which I honestly think I need. I tried dealing with it without medication before and I seemed to be feeling worse. I couldn’t get a hold of myself and felt I was in a constant pit just falling deeper and deeper. I’m lucky enough that I’ve got an amazing family and friends around me. Even though most of them don’t know that I’m actually depressed. They are helping with out realising. I can honestly say I’m quite embarrassed to tell people who I’m depressed. I don’t know why I just find it hard for me open up and talk to people about it. Except on here I find it quite easy.

I think this is my way of dealing with it. Writing it on my blog. This wasn’t my intention for my blog. My blog my rules as another blogger keeps mentioning 😂😂  I’m usually quite open and seem to have one of those faces where people come for advice for any of their problems. If any of you have any problems just send me a message and we can talk through things. I find hiding behind a screen helps a lot. You haven’t got people looking and judging you.

I’ve missed doing this. It’s been a long time since I’ve expressed some sort of feelings into words.

Raven Tower

The Raven Tower
What price will Kesta and the fire-walkers have to pay to keep their people from enslavement? The raids were more ferocious, more desperate and much earlier in the year. When Kesta sees in the flame who is really behind the attacks the Independent islands of the Fulmers seem doomed to fall. Their only hope is to cross the sea to seek the help of the King of Elden and his sorcerer, the Dark Man.

Author Bio-
I presently live in the stunning county of Dorset where I’m a cat slave to Wolfe and Piglitt I spend as much time as I can outside in nature and love exploring and learning about new cultures and languages. I’ve visited Greece, Serbia, Transylvania, Sicily and Norway as well as making several road trips around our beautiful United Kingdom. I paint, sculpt, dabble in photography and do a little archery but most of all – whenever I get a chance – I write.
My writing started from a very young age when I often found myself being the one taking charge of and entertaining all my younger cousins. They loved to hear my stories and although they mostly called for ghost stories it was fantasy I fell in love with when I read The Lord of the Rings when I was ten. I went on to write stories and short ‘books’ for my friends through school and college; then one evening whilst I was waiting for my aunt and uncle to visit an image came to my mind of a boy sitting beneath a bridge. I didn’t know who he was or why he was there, but from exploring those questions ‘The Wind’s Children’ trilogy blossomed and grew with roots going back into his far history as well as stretching out to his future. The boy’s name was Tobias.
I have since left Tobias’s world of ‘Naris’ to explore the Valley with Feather in the ‘Hall of Pillars’ which is now available through Amazon. I am now presently finding my way through Elden, the beautiful Fulmer islands, the ravaged Borrows and haunted Chem with Kesta Silene; a shamaness of sorts with a big journey ahead of her. I hope you come along to share her story and join her adventure; she needs you and you won’t regret it.

I’m back.

Well as the title suggests I’m back after taking a month of. I thought it would be hard but I’ve been so busy that I’ve never had time.

My partner done an amazing job giving birth to our baby daughter called Poppy Mae. She’s amazing and so proud of my eldest daughter. She’s been helping out and looking after her baby sister. I couldn’t have asked for it to be any better.

The only thing that has spoiled my time away was my car getting written off. We had very bad winds and some how we were unfortunate enough that a branch snapped off and landed on the car. luckily no body was harmed just really shook up.

I never realised how much I’d miss a car and how easy it actually is. We did use public transport and the odd taxi to basically pick up my daughter from school. Now we have had skimp and scrape to get a new car.

I’m going back to work on Monday and I’m kind of looking forward to getting back into some sort of structured routine. Being off all I’ve done is goto the gym and sleep 😂

Writing this has made me realise how much I’ve missed blogging. I’ve got so much to say so will hopefully have some more blogs posted.

I will end my post there as I can go on for a while and my daughter is starting to stir so will need to feed her.

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m going to try to read some of your blogs whan I get the chance 😁

Final few days.

So my partner is literally ready to have pur child anytime now. She’s due on the 5th of September and we are all excited. I can’t wait to see my daughter’s face when she sees her little brother/sister. So we’ve been frantically decorating and getting everything prepared for the arrival (I’m still not finished 🤣) I honestly can’t wait to see my new child. People keep asking me what I would like and honestly I’m not really bothered as long as Mrs and the baby are all ok. So I’ve lately been doing 14 hour shifts none stop just so I’ve got a decent enough wage to tide me over till i get back to work. I will be taking 4 weeks off. Which is a long time.

I will try to blog but probably won’t or a while. I’m just too busy at the moment. I’m still reading other bloggers posts and books. I will no doubt be reading more books if I’m up all night 🤣

I will try to get back to some consistency with my posts again once everything has settled.

Lastly I’d like to thank you all for being amazing. I know I’ve written this a few times but I do really appreciate everyone.

What todo?

Lately I think I’ve been handling my depression/anxiety quite well lately. I’ve even thought about cutting down my medication for obviously if the doctor think it’s ok. I have been a bit snappy lately but I’m putting that down to tiredness. The gym for me is really helping. Working out just seems to settle me down and release so much stress. I’m not here to preach what everyone should do. This just works for me. I’ve been keeping myself busy so I haven’t been over thinking. I was stressing about my blog as I haven’t been as consistent as I used to be. I’ve nearly done 200 post since March this year. I think I should’ve just posted every other day instead of everyday like I used to. I think I was just over excited when I first began blogging. I still get excited when writing a blog post. Even this one that I’m doing now 🤣 I’m now thinking about posting a few times a week. I was going to ask if you guys or gals would like to see do any specific posts or what would you like to see me post more of?

400+ followers

As a thank you to all you amazing people. For helping me reach 400+ I’m going to do a giveaway. It’s nothing special just a book from my little collection. It will have to be UK only as to send overseas would cost a small fortune 😂 anyway all good luck
